HablaYa is a beginner Spanish learning app. No sign-up is required. We do not collect your name, email, phone number or precise location, we show no ads, and we never sell or share data for advertising or tracking.

What we collect

• Anonymous device ID: a random identifier created on first launch, not linked to your identity or Apple ID.
• Learning activity: lessons completed, reviews, weekly test scores and speaking scores, used to measure and improve the course.
• Basic device info: app version and the language/region set on your phone (no IP geolocation).

Speaking recordings

Recordings stay on your phone and are never uploaded to our server. The reference score comes from Apple's built-in speech recognition: on supported devices recognition runs on the phone; otherwise the audio is processed by Apple's speech recognition service under the Apple Privacy Policy. We never receive these recordings.

Storage and retention

Our server is located in the United States and stores only the anonymous learning activity listed above. Learning activity is kept until you ask us to delete it, for at most 24 months; backups are kept for 14 days.

Your choices

"Me → Clear all learning data" deletes the data on your phone and all server data linked to your device ID. "Me → Send anonymous usage data" can be turned off at any time. Contact: xzenjourney@gmail.com
